The Detex EA-500 Series Exit Alarm's surface-mount, slim line design blends with architectural decor and is easy to install using ordinary tools. This low-cost, self-contained door alarm employs a 95-decibel, directional piezo horn to warn of unauthorized use of a door.

Features

• Case and internal mounted piezo horn resist tampering
  
• Threaded lock-on cover protects mounting screws, electrical system and internal sensor
  
• Alarm can only be silenced by use of the proper control key or remote bypass switch/outside key control feature
  
• Piezo horn with directional characteristics blasts over 95 decibels of sound if door is used without authorization
  
• Low battery alert detector causes alarm to 'chirp' and LED to blink (in a manner similar to smoke alarms) whenever the battery needs replacing
  
• Reverse battery protection safeguards circuitry if battery is inserted incorrectly
  
• Re-arming within a few seconds after authorized use is automatic and does not depend on the user remembering to do it
  
• Alarm is triggered by reliable magnetic switching
  
• Adjustable time delay (5-30 seconds) allows sufficient time to exit
  
• 90º detent prevents the removal of the control key when the unit is in the disarmed position
  
• Optional Feature - State-of-the-art electronic closed loop circuit operation - alarm will sound any time the wires to the external sensor are cut
