The Ryobi 4550 series are for outdoor use in heavy traffic areas.   Features of this model include:

Full Hydraulic Checking:

Controls the door through the entire opening and closing cycle by providing adjustable backcheck upon opening and adjustable general and latch speeds through the closing cycle.

Adjustable Spring Power

•The 4550 Series Door Closers are adjustable from size 2 through 6 (3lbf-14lbf closing force measured at 30” from the door pivot).   Includes 50% adjustment over size 6.

•Model 4551 is designed to meet entrance accessibility requirements of 5lbf Opening Force or less and is adjustable from size 1 through size 4 (less than 3lbf-8lbf closing force measured 30” from the door pivot).

Non-Handed

Can be used either right or left handed on either the push or pull side of the door.

Delayed Action (optional)

Both models can be equipped with a separate hydraulic valve adjustment to delay the closing speed.

All Season Fluid

All season fluid eliminates the need for seasonal adjustments.

Special High Silicone Aluminum Alloy Housing

All 3550/3551 Series Door Closers are constructed of Ryobi's R14 high silicone aluminum alloy incorporating a 1-1/2” diameter cylinder bore to guarantee the highest performance and durability far exceeding the ANSI/BHMA A 156.4 Grade 1 requirements.

Forged Arms

Heavy duty forged arms are interchangeable between the 3550 and 4550 series closers.

High Impact Cover

All 3550 and 4550 Series Door Closers are shipped with a high impact self-extinguishing decorative cover.

Maintenance Free

Ryobi Door Closers mounted in accordance with Ryobi installation instructions are free from periodic inspection and adjustment maintenance.
